Return Policy
Course materials purchased after the two week Fall/Spring semester or the five-day Summer session return window at the start of the term are final sale. No course material returns or refunds will be accepted after the return deadline. More information regarding our returns policy and return deadlines are described below. Please contact the Campus Store directly with any questions or concerns.
Spring Semester 2026 Return Deadline
- Course material returns are due by Jan. 23, 2026.
- Course material purchases are FINAL SALE after Jan. 23 and cannot be returned.
Textbook Returns
Textbook returns may be shipped to the MN Textbook Center at the student's cost. SCC students may also drop off textbook returns at the Campus Store free of charge.

All textbooks must be in original condition and accompanied by a receipt when returned. Please email [email protected] with any questions.
Course Materials Return Policy
- All returns require an online order packing list (receipt) or order number to be accepted.
- New books must be returned in original condition, free from any writing, highlighting, or creases.
- Shrink-wrapped textbooks, boxed sets, or access codes must be returned unopened, in exact condition as when they were purchased, to be eligible for a refund.
- eBook refund requests must be made within 14 days of purchase. Activated eBooks cannot be returned.
- All returns are at the discretion of the MN Textbook Center staff.
The following items are not eligible for return:
- Opened shrink-wrapped textbooks, access codes, lab and lecture packets
- Access codes that have been opened, scratched off, or revealed in any way
- Opened plastic wrapped merchandise
- Testing purchases
- Supply kits that have been opened and used (art, chemistry, dental assisting, nursing, etc.)
Merchandise and Clothing Return Policy
General merchandise purchased from the SCC Bookstore website may be returned to either Campus Store location or mailed back to the store. Customers are responsible for any return shipping fees. Please contact the store with merchandise return questions.
- No general merchandise returns will be accepted without a receipt.
- General merchandise is eligible for return within seven (7) days of purchase.
- Merchandise may be returned as long as it is in the same condition as purchased in unopened original packaging and with original pricing. Clothing should not be washed or worn and tags should still be attached.
- Software or electronic items must be returned unopened.
- Defective general merchandise can be returned or exchanged within seven days with the receipt or packing list.
- All returns are at the discretion of SCC Campus Store staff.
Issues with Online Orders
Damaged, inaccurate, or lost course materials orders must be reported to [email protected] within one (1) week of the pick-up date or the delivery date according to the UPS tracking information.
Refund method
Purchases paid for by a credit or debit card will be credited back to that card. Student account charge purchases will be credited back to the student account. A check will be issued for those purchases paid for with cash, unless allowable by college policy. A check will be issued for those purchases originally paid for by a personal check, but will not be issued until at least 14 days after date of purchase.
PSEO Students
- Are required to drop off all course materials at the N. Mankato or Faribault SCC Campus Store by the end of semester deadline. Please note: PSEO students who drop/withdraw from a course must return all textbooks and supplies within five (5) business days.
